Rental Agreement

1. Rental Period

• The rental period begins on the scheduled pickup or delivery date
• The rental period ends on the scheduled return date at 5:00 PM local time
• Rental rates are calculated on a per-day basis
• Minimum rental period is 1 day
• Extended rentals must be arranged in advance and are subject to availability

2. Security Deposit

• A security deposit of 25% of the item's value is required for all rentals
• The deposit is charged at the time of booking via PayPal
• Deposits are fully refundable when items are returned:
  • On time (within the grace period)
  • In the same condition as when rented
  • With all original parts and accessories
• Deposit refunds are processed within 5-7 business days after inspection
• Partial or full deposit forfeiture may occur for damaged or late items

3. Late Returns

• A 1-day grace period is provided for returns
• After the grace period, late fees of $25 per day apply
• Late fees will be deducted from your security deposit
• If late fees exceed the deposit, additional charges will be billed to your PayPal account
• Items not returned within 14 days may be considered lost, and full replacement value will be charged

4. Care of Rental Items

You agree to:

• Handle all items with appropriate care and caution
• Keep items in a safe, clean, climate-controlled environment
• Protect items from moisture, extreme temperatures, and direct sunlight
• Keep items away from pets and small children
• Not modify, repair, paint, or alter items in any way
• Not remove any labels, tags, or identification marks
• Use items only for their intended purpose (display, operation on compatible track)
• Report any damage, malfunction, or issues immediately

5. Prohibited Uses

Rental items may NOT be:

• Sub-rented or loaned to third parties
• Used for commercial purposes without written permission
• Taken outside the agreed-upon location without approval
• Used in outdoor environments unless specifically rated for outdoor use
• Operated on incompatible track or power systems

6. Damage and Loss

Missing parts or accessories	Replacement cost of missing items

7. Delivery and Pickup

• Delivery and pickup services are available at $135 per hour (2-hour minimum)
• You must be present to receive delivery and sign for items
• Items will be inspected at delivery; any pre-existing issues will be documented
• For self-pickup, items must be picked up during scheduled appointment times
• Proper vehicle and padding required for self-transport of large items

8. Cancellation Policy

9. Insurance and Liability

• Items are not insured during the rental period
• You assume full responsibility for items from pickup/delivery until return
• RentaRailroad is not liable for any injuries or property damage resulting from item use
• You agree to indemnify RentaRailroad against any third-party claims
• We recommend renters obtain appropriate insurance coverage for valuable items

10. Inspection and Acceptance

• All items are inspected before rental and documented with photos
• You have 24 hours after receiving items to report any pre-existing damage
• Failure to report issues within 24 hours means you accept the item's condition
• Items will be inspected upon return; you may request to be present

11. Disputes

• Any disputes will first be addressed through direct communication
• PayPal's buyer/seller protection policies may apply
• Unresolved disputes are subject to binding arbitration
• This agreement is governed by the laws of the state where RentaRailroad operates

12. Agreement Acceptance

By completing a rental transaction on RentaRailroad, you acknowledge that you have:

• Read and understood this entire Rental Agreement
• Agreed to all terms and conditions stated herein
• Provided accurate contact and payment information
• Confirmed you are 18 years of age or older
• Accepted responsibility for the care of rented items
